Intellitec addresses power challenges for customers of any scale. Recently the company worked with Sandwich Express, a family-run business in Ellesmere Port with mobile catering vans serving the Cheshire and North Wales regions.
The challenge
Sandwich Express customers praised the food but wanted high-quality hot coffee to match the likes of Costa or Starbucks. The business needed to generate enough power to produce up to 500 cups of coffee a day while maintaining optimal temperature.
The solution
Intellitec’s technical team assessed the power requirements, provided specifications and delivered a competitive quote. The electrical engineers then installed and tested the complete system onsite within two weeks, enabling Sandwich Express to serve hot coffee to its customer base.

The installation used Victron Energy products:
- LiFePO4 Battery 12.8V/150Ah Smart: lithium chemistry reduced weight and dimensions while maximising usable storage.
- MultiPlus 12/3000/120-16 230V VE.Bus: an inverter/charger providing integrated AC output and charging in one unit.
- VE.Bus BMS: monitors battery health and prevents overcharging or over-discharging.
- BatteryProtect 12/24V-220A: safeguards DC loads from critical discharge.
- BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor: enables remote monitoring via iOS or Android apps.
