Scafftech, based in Moreton on the Wirral, provides scaffolding solutions for commercial and residential projects. The company needed a system capable of charging multiple mains-powered tools within their service vehicles.
Managing Director Robbie found Intellitec online and, seeing the company was locally based, arranged a visit to discuss the project requirements and budget. Intellitec developed a specification quickly and began implementation within one week.
System components
- 12V 2000W pure sine wave inverter: converts DC power from the leisure battery to AC power for tool charging, with digital signal processing, power turbo mode, power saving mode and adjustable output voltage/frequency.
- DC-DC battery charger: a newly launched Intellitec product programmed as a 12V to 12V smart 3-stage charger with 50A output, including a built-in battery rescue function and buck-boost converter capability.
- Victron Energy 12V/110Ah AGM deep cycle battery: high-quality battery with low internal resistance suitable for high current discharge applications.
- Victron Energy Cerbo GX: communication centre enabling remote monitoring via the VRM Portal and Bluetooth.
- Victron Energy Battery Monitor BMV-712 Smart: provides visual performance tracking with ampere-hour calculation and remote wireless monitoring.
The system enables remote battery level monitoring via Bluetooth or WiFi.
