Cruise control retrofit

Isuzu D-Max cruise control retrofit

A D-Max lives a hard life: livestock trailers, plant on a tow, feed runs and then a long drive to market. Working pickups are often bought plain, and a driver hauling a trailer for hours cannot set a cruising figure.

Workhorse first, comfort second

Farmers, groundworkers and estate managers buy the D-Max to work. Single and extended cab trucks in particular tend to be specified for toughness rather than comfort, so cruise is often missing.

The long tow home

A loaded livestock trailer on a winding A-road is demanding enough without the driver also managing the throttle on every rise. On the motorway, holding a legal speed with a heavy trailer takes real attention, and drivers finish the day stiff and worn out.

Our module for the D-Max

Loaded with a D-Max program in Chorley, the unit reads the truck's speed over CAN, and nothing pulls on the throttle. Tell us the cab style, gearbox and year, and whether the truck tows regularly. A farm with several pickups can get every truck sorted on a single order.

Questions about the Isuzu D-Max

Is the D-Max a 12V or 24V job?
The D-Max runs a 12V system, so its unit is set for 12V at programming.
The truck is on a business lease. Can it come out later?
Yes. The unit unplugs from the old D-Max and gets a fresh program for its replacement, free from us.
Can my local agricultural engineer fit it?
If they handle vehicle electrics, yes. We send the unit programmed, and our engineer can explain the connection for your truck.
