Cruise control retrofit

Seat Leon: retrofit cruise control

The Leon is a family hatchback with a sporty streak, and its owners tend to drive it briskly and far. In a Leon lacking a speed hold, the daily motorway commute is where its absence bites.

Golf hardware, its own character

Seat built the Leon from Volkswagen Group parts shared with the Golf and the Skoda Octavia. The ST estate carries families and kit, and the Cupra versions bring the pace. All of them get used for distance.

A willing engine on an empty road

A Leon with a keen engine will slip past the limit on a long, quiet stretch with hardly any pressure on the pedal. Watching the needle to stop that happening pulls attention away from the road, mile after mile.

Configured to your Leon

We program a CAN KONTROL CRUISE module for the Leon in question, drawing on what the Leon broadcasts internally about speed and engine load. The Leon's throttle gets no mechanical add-on. If you run both cars, the Octavia has its own cruise retrofit page.

Questions about the Seat Leon

My Leon has a DSG gearbox. Does that matter?
Mention DSG alongside the Leon's year and engine; that combination is checked before configuring.
Can a Cupra Leon be done?
Yes. Cupra details are confirmed exactly as any other Leon's would be.
Is the unit made by Seat?
No. The Leon unit comes out of Scorpion Automotive's Lancashire electronics factory in Chorley, and Intellitec is one of the Scorpion Group businesses.
