MAN TGE runlock system
TGEs from 2017 onwards often get converted before they ever reach a road: ambulances, welfare vehicles, mobile workshops, parcel bodies. A converter knows the finished van will need to run unattended, and would sooner solve that during the build than field a complaint later.
Fitting it during the conversion
On a conversion line the loom is exposed and the dash is in pieces, which makes it the easiest moment to add runlock. Our module comes configured for the TGE and the body going onto it, so the converter installs it alongside the other body electrics, not as an afterthought.
The customer complaint you can avoid
A welfare van whose heater dies as soon as the engine stops, or a parcel body left idling and open at every drop. Those are calls a converter gets six months after handover. They come from the job, not from the build quality, and the cure is identical every time.
What turns up at your workshop
CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK, set up in Chorley to suit the TGE, reading the ignition state, road speed, handbrake position, pedals and doors off CAN. With it fitted, the TGE keeps going once its driver pockets the key, and its doors lock. Brake or clutch pressed, handbrake lowered, or someone opening the driver's side door outside the agreed limits, and it reverts to normal.
