Nissan Navara engine runlock
A Navara on a recovery job, a building site or a farm is a power station as much as a pickup. Lights on the back, an inverter for tools, a compressor for tyres. Whoever uses all that is outside the cab, and the truck has to keep running.
Roadside and site work
Recovery drivers work around a casualty vehicle with beacons on and a winch rigged. Site crews plug saws and chargers into an inverter mounted in the load bed. Both need the alternator turning for however long the work lasts.
The two bad options
Stopping the engine hands the battery the full load until it goes flat partway through. Leaving the truck unlocked with the engine on at a hard shoulder or site gate means walking away from a vehicle anyone could drive off. Most crews pick the second and hope.
A Navara that runs locked
Fit CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK and your Navara keeps its engine on for as long as you are off working, pickup locked. Its inputs are taken straight off the Navara's own CAN network. Every Navara module is set up in Chorley, and the Navara cruise control retrofit suits long towing runs.

Questions about the Nissan Navara
- I run Navaras and Hiluxes together. Can you do both?
- Yes. Every module suits its own vehicle. List the models and years and we configure to match.
- Can I still use the winch remote with the cab locked?
- The engine stays running, so the electrics the winch relies on stay live. Describe how the winch is installed and the engineer checks it.
- Suppose a passer-by climbs in and dips the clutch. Then what?
- Runlock ends at once and the Navara behaves normally, just as it would after a handbrake release or a door opening on the driver side, outside the agreed limits.
