CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK lets the Audi carry on idling after the driver has walked off with the fob, so the cabin and the equipment keep their supply. Should someone brush a pedal, release the parking brake or swing the driver's door open outside the rules it was given, the A3 reverts to ordinary behaviour.
