Runlock for the Renault Trafic

Their work often means hours parked at one address with a laptop charging, an inverter humming and cameras recording. With the engine stopped, the Trafic's starter battery is left carrying all of that by itself.
Hours at the kerb
A Trafic fitted out as a mobile workshop or an observation van may sit through a whole shift in a single spot. Load area lighting, a sample fridge or a bank of recorders keeps pulling current throughout. By teatime the battery has been asked for far more than it was designed to give.
The flat battery at five o'clock
The cost lands when the shift finishes. The van will not start, a recovery call follows, and tomorrow's first job slips. Some drivers dodge that by leaving the Trafic running, key still sitting in the barrel, which puts a load area of tools beside the road with nobody watching.
Trafic running, driver gone, key gone too
CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK lets the driver walk off key in hand while the Trafic carries on, and the van stays lockable. Everything it needs to know, from ignition and speed to handbrake position, pedal use and the driver's door, comes off the Trafic's data network. Press a pedal, release the handbrake or open that door while the configured conditions forbid it, and the van simply becomes an ordinary Trafic again.
