The i-Talk (K253) is a dual-voltage (12V and 24V) programmable unit designed to deliver passenger or driver information messages in PSVs, emergency-service and commercial vehicles. It stores up to 64 separate CD-quality messages on an interchangeable SD card, together with the rules engine that decides which message plays and when.
Reconfiguring the unit is simple: the installer records WAV files on a PC and loads them onto the SD memory card. Speech can be triggered over the vehicle network or through eight digital inputs wired directly to the microprocessor.
The module provides two separate 5W audio output channels, selectable in firmware, each with its own potentiometer volume control and feeding a speaker in a different location. It is compatible with the Intellitec PMC system and two CAN 2.0B networks, and is protected against electrical surge, transient conditions and load dump. UK manufactured.
