Mazda BT-50 cruise control retrofit
The BT-50 is a working pickup. It pulls trailers of feed, fencing and plant, then covers the long road back to the yard. On a BT-50 with no cruise, those empty return trips are the ones that drag.
Built for the farm, driven on the A-road
Plenty of BT-50 miles are not off-road at all. They are the stretch between the farm and the market, the merchant, or a job site two counties away. Keeping the speed even with a loaded trailer behind you is tiring work over a few hours.
Pickups take a beating
A truck that lives with mud, vibration and the pressure washer is hard on any added electrics. Loose connectors and taped joints fail in that life sooner or later, usually somewhere remote. Whatever goes in needs a proper connection, made once.
What we build for the BT-50
CAN KONTROL CRUISE picks up the BT-50's speed and drivetrain signals from its CAN bus, so the throttle gets no actuator and there is no linkage to adjust. Every BT-50 module is built at our Lancashire factory, with the pickup's configuration loaded before it ships. Earlier BT-50s were close relatives of the Ford Ranger, so name the truck's age and engine; that lets an engineer pin down the right configuration.

Questions about the Mazda BT-50
- I tow most days. Should I mention that?
- Yes. Describe how the truck works for you along with its details, and that is taken into account before configuring.
- I run pickups from different makers. Can you cover them all?
- Send a list of makes, models and years. Each vehicle is checked separately, and units for a mixed set can go in one order.
- When this truck is sold, can the module go on its replacement?
- Yes. The unit takes a new configuration, and swapping it to another pickup costs nothing.
