Bought used, driven hard

Many Astras change hands after a fleet or lease term, and the second owner gets whatever the first one specified. A hatch or Sports Tourer that is otherwise exactly right can be let down by one missing option. That is a poor reason to go back to the adverts.

Think of one familiar run of motorway, morning and evening, five days a week, with variable limits and long camera zones. Without cruise, every mile is spent glancing at the dial. Over a year that is a great deal of tension for something the car could handle.

Getting an Astra to hold its own speed
