Cruise control retrofit

Cruise control for the Vauxhall Meriva

The Meriva is a tall, practical mini-MPV. Many are driven by parents whose school runs turn into holiday runs, or by minicab drivers who value how easily passengers get in. Either way, long hours behind the wheel without a speed hold get old fast.

Easy for passengers, hard on the driver

Later Meriva models are known for rear doors hinged at the back, which makes loading children or helping an older passenger in very easy. Those same drivers then face long runs to airports, coasts or relatives. The car is comfortable for everyone except the person holding the pedal.

Private hire hours on a busy road

A driver doing airport transfers may be on the motorway for most of the shift. With no cruise, speed control is down to concentration alone, and fatigue builds through the day. A tired driver with fare-paying passengers is exactly what nobody wants on the road.

The fit we offer

CAN KONTROL CRUISE draws road speed off the Meriva's data network, meaning nothing mechanical happens at the throttle. Each module is configured for its car after a check of the details. It comes from our Lancashire electronics plant, and reconfiguring it later is free if the car changes.

Questions about the Vauxhall Meriva

My Meriva earns its keep as a private hire car. Can you help?
Gladly. Mention the trade use and your car count, and it goes through as a trade enquiry.
Does it matter which Meriva shape I have?
Yes. The model was replaced with a quite different car partway through its life, so the registration year matters here.
What if I switch to a bigger MPV later?
Usually the module transfers with a free new configuration, once that MPV has been checked.
