Citroen Dispatch runlock system
A Dispatch on deliveries or callouts stops and starts all day, and much of what is fitted in the back only works properly with the engine on. Drivers either switch off and watch the auxiliary battery sag, or walk away from a van that is running and open.

Every time the engine goes off, the equipment either stops or pulls on stored power. A cold chain broken on one drop can spoil a whole load. A van left running and unlocked while its driver is round the back of a building is how vans go missing.

The unit tracks road speed, the parking brake, both pedals and every door over the Dispatch's CAN bus, and the moment a foot goes onto a pedal, the handbrake lever drops or someone pulls the driver's door open beyond what the configuration allows, the van reverts to normal.
