Engine runlock

Peugeot Expert runlock

Experts work parcel rounds, service calls and security patrols. Drivers keep the engine running at drops because restarting all day is a pain and the heater matters in winter. Too often the van stays unlocked while they are at someone's front door.

Fifty stops a shift

Parcel drivers may be in and out of an Expert dozens of times daily. Each stop is short, the engine is warm and stopping it feels pointless. So it sits running, open and unattended at the kerb while its driver jogs up a path.

Why fleet managers worry

A running, unlocked van is the easiest vehicle on any street to take. Drivers know the rule about taking the key, and they also know it costs time at every drop. Rules that slow the round get quietly ignored.

Let the driver lock it running

With CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK the Expert keeps ticking over after the driver pulls its key, and they lock up before walking off. Once they return, a press on the clutch or brake, or lowering the handbrake beyond the agreed limits, brings it back to normal. Configured for your Expert in Chorley.

Questions about the Peugeot Expert

Will the van restart normally after a drop?
If it is still running under runlock, the driver simply gets in and drives once the interlocks have handed it back. If it was switched off, it starts as usual.
We have Experts and Jumpys on one fleet. One supplier?
Yes. List both models with their years and each van gets a module programmed for it.
Can we add it to vans we already own?
Yes. It is a retrofit, so existing Experts can be done by your own workshop or an auto electrician.
