Keeping a Peugeot Traveller warm for passengers
A Traveller on private hire or accessible transport rarely parks with an empty cabin. Its driver steps out to help a passenger to a door, fold a wheelchair or carry bags, while others wait inside. The heater needs to stay on, and the ignition should not be left live and unguarded.
Passengers inside, driver outside
On school runs, hospital transport and airport work, a driver's job does not stop at the steering wheel. A Traveller from 2017 onwards may wait at a care home or terminal with people already seated. They expect a warm cabin, not one that cools whenever the driver hops out.
A cab nobody is watching
An engine left ticking over with the driving seat empty, passengers behind and the driver round the side of the vehicle is not comfortable for any operator. Switching off is little better on a frosty morning with elderly or vulnerable people aboard.
How we set up the Traveller
CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK lets the Traveller carry on running as the driver walks off carrying the key, with the doors lockable. Its inputs come off the Traveller's CAN bus, covering the doors, pedals, handbrake, speed and ignition. Our engineers configure it in Chorley for year and use, and the Traveller cruise control option suits long airport runs.
