Peugeot Boxer runlock for chillers and lifts
Boxers from 2014 onwards carry plenty of fridge bodies, ambulance conversions and welfare units. In August, a chilled Boxer on a run of shop deliveries cannot afford to lose cooling every time its driver walks into a store. Shutting down at each stop is how loads get warm.
Summer drops with a chilled load
Refrigerated delivery means stopping, unloading, signing and moving on, over and over. The fridge works hardest exactly when rear doors are opened again and again in the heat. Meanwhile the driver is in the shop, not behind the wheel.
Warming stock, unattended cab
Switch off at each drop and the box starts to warm. Keep it running unattended and anyone can open the cab on a high street while the driver is indoors. Either way, somebody is gambling with the van or the stock.
