Peugeot Boxer runlock system
The CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK is a CAN based runlock system for the Peugeot Boxer from 2014 to present. On a working van it holds the engine running with the key removed and the cab locked on the original remote, so refrigeration, a welfare unit or a compressor keeps running while the vehicle is left secure. Handbrake, pedal and door interlocks drop it the moment the van is driven. The unit is configured to the vehicle at installation.
- The unit reads ignition, road speed, handbrake, pedal and door state from the vehicle CAN bus.
- With the interlock conditions met, it holds the engine running after the key is removed.
- Opening the driver door, pressing a pedal or releasing the handbrake outside the set conditions returns the vehicle to normal and shuts the runlock state down.
- It is configured to the vehicle and application, and can be moved to another vehicle if the fleet changes.

Why fit runlock system to a Peugeot Boxer
Vans spend the working day being left running with the driver away from the cab, on welfare sites, refrigerated drops, recovery jobs and CCTV duties. A runlock lets the Peugeot Boxer keep its engine, and everything it powers, live while the cab is locked and the keys are in a pocket. Because it reads the bus rather than splicing the ignition, it goes on cleanly and comes off if the van moves on.
The point of runlock on a Peugeot Boxer is simple: keep the load powered, keep the cab secure. Refrigeration, tail-lift hydraulics, welfare heating and camera systems all need the engine, and none of them should mean leaving a key in an unattended van. The CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK holds the engine on against handbrake, pedal and door interlocks, and hands control back the moment the driver returns.

Frequently asked questions
- Does the CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK fit a 2014 Peugeot Boxer?
- Yes. The CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK is a CAN based runlock system configured for the Peugeot Boxer (2014 to present). Tell us the vehicle and we confirm the configuration for the job.
- Can the Peugeot Boxer keep refrigeration or a tail-lift powered with the key out?
- Yes. That is the job of runlock on a van: the engine holds while the cab is locked and the key is removed, so the fridge, tail-lift or welfare equipment stays fed. It shuts down the instant the handbrake, a pedal or the driver door says the van is being driven.
- Can the runlock system be moved to another vehicle?
- Yes. The unit is programmable and can be reconfigured and moved to another vehicle if the fleet changes. Configuration updates are free, handled by us as the manufacturer.
- Is it safe to leave the engine running with the key out?
- The runlock only holds the engine running while the handbrake is set and the interlock conditions are met. Opening the driver door, pressing a pedal or releasing the handbrake outside those conditions shuts the runlock state down.
- Who makes and supports the CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK?
- It is designed, built and supported in the UK by Intellitec, part of Scorpion Group, on the configurable i2CAN platform.
