Runlock

Peugeot Traveller runlock system

Fitted to a Peugeot Traveller from 2017 to present, the CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK keeps the engine idling with the key removed for accessible and welfare transport, where the vehicle has to stay warm and powered between pickups. It reads the Peugeot CAN bus for ignition, handbrake and door state and drops the runlock cleanly when the driver takes over. The unit is configured to the vehicle at installation.

How it works
  • The unit reads ignition, road speed, handbrake, pedal and door state from the vehicle CAN bus.
  • With the interlock conditions met, it holds the engine running after the key is removed.
  • Opening the driver door, pressing a pedal or releasing the handbrake outside the set conditions returns the vehicle to normal and shuts the runlock state down.
  • It is configured to the vehicle and application, and can be moved to another vehicle if the fleet changes.

Why fit runlock system to a Peugeot Traveller

A Peugeot Traveller on welfare or passenger duty spends much of its day stationary but live, keeping the cabin warm and the equipment fed. Runlock makes that safe and secure: the engine holds with the key out and the doors locked, under handbrake, pedal and door interlocks, and hands straight back when the driver returns.

Welfare and accessible transport cannot switch off between jobs: heating, a lift and onboard equipment all need the engine, often while the driver is helping a passenger away from the cab. Runlock lets the Peugeot Traveller idle with the doors locked and the keys in hand, then returns control the moment it is driven. It reads the bus, so the conversion wiring is left untouched.

Workshop fit off the CAN bus, no-cut inductive option on vehicles under warranty, and free configuration updates from Intellitec, part of Scorpion Group.

Frequently asked questions

Does the CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK fit a 2017 Peugeot Traveller?
Yes. The CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK is a CAN based runlock system configured for the Peugeot Traveller (2017 to present). Tell us the vehicle and we confirm the configuration for the job.
Will the heating stay on for passengers in a Peugeot Traveller with the key removed?
Yes. Runlock holds the engine on with the key out and the doors locked, so the cabin heating and any onboard equipment stay powered while passengers wait. It returns to normal the instant the handbrake, a pedal or the driver door shows the vehicle is being driven.
Can the runlock system be moved to another vehicle?
Yes. The unit is programmable and can be reconfigured and moved to another vehicle if the fleet changes. Configuration updates are free, handled by us as the manufacturer.
Is it safe to leave the engine running with the key out?
The runlock only holds the engine running while the handbrake is set and the interlock conditions are met. Opening the driver door, pressing a pedal or releasing the handbrake outside those conditions shuts the runlock state down.
Who makes and supports the CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK?
It is designed, built and supported in the UK by Intellitec, part of Scorpion Group, on the configurable i2CAN platform.
