The Modus faithful

Renault stopped building the Modus some years ago, and the ones still about are mostly with owners who know them inside out. The tall body and sliding rear seat suit family visits, holidays and runs to the coast.

When a short-hop car does long runs

A car sized for town still gets asked to make the two-hour trip to see the grandchildren. Lacking cruise, the Modus driver keeps the pedal steady and glances at the speedometer the whole way, which is the part of the journey nobody enjoys.

A tidy answer for an older Modus

We set CAN KONTROL CRUISE to the Modus and build it at our Lancashire factory in Chorley. The Modus already reports its speed electronically, which is what the unit reads, so no extra hardware goes under the bonnet or by the pedal. Change car one day and we will reconfigure the same module for the new one at no cost.
