Mitsubishi ASX runlock
The ASX is a small crossover used for patrol rounds, community care and taxi work. Those drivers are in and out all shift, and every stop raises one question: switch off, or walk away with it idling and open?
Five minutes here, five minutes there
A mobile patrol might pull in at ten sites a night, five minutes apiece. A care worker visits client after client. Each stop is too brief to let the ASX go cold and too long to leave it unlocked and running beside a public road.
Every restart costs something
Starting and stopping all shift is hard on a battery already powering a radio, a phone and a dashcam. Leaving it idling avoids that, and also leaves the crossover open and drivable for anyone who tries.
Engine held, car secured
With CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK fitted, your ASX carries on running when you stroll off, key in hand, and the crossover can be locked behind you. Brake or clutch touched, parking brake released, or your own door opened beyond whatever conditions were agreed, and the car drops back to ordinary. Our engineers build the setup in Chorley.

Questions about the Mitsubishi ASX
- Do you need to know if the ASX is manual or automatic?
- Yes, plus its year and whether it uses a key or keyless start. Those shape how the module gets configured.
- Can one ASX unit move to a different car later?
- Yes. It is reprogrammable, reprogramming costs nothing, and the module can follow a driver to their next vehicle.
- Is there cruise control for the ASX as well?
- Yes, CAN KONTROL CRUISE is available for the ASX. Ask for both on one enquiry if you want them together.
