Engine runlock

Mitsubishi Outlander runlock (non PHEV)

Outlanders get used on tow duty, farm errands and private hire, and owners want them running and warm while they step away. Before anything else, check which version you own. We cover 2013 onwards, but not the PHEV and not keyless cars.

Which Outlanders we cover

If yours dates from 2013 or later, has a conventional engine and starts with a turn of a key, we cover it. If it is the plug-in hybrid, or has keyless start, please ask us before buying anything. Our engineer will answer plainly for your car.

A cold car on a winter job

Outlander owners towing a horsebox, delivering to farms or waiting on a fare all hit one problem in winter. Engine off, and the interior is cold in minutes. Keep it ticking over and the Mitsubishi waits unlocked, ready to drive, at a show ground or station car park.

Running and locked at once

CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK reads data from the Outlander's CAN bus so its engine keeps turning after you have pulled the key. You lock the doors as you walk off. We programme each module in Chorley for its year and use, and our Outlander cruise control page covers speed hold too.

Questions about the Mitsubishi Outlander

I have an Outlander PHEV. Can I order one?
Not off the standard list. The PHEV is not covered, so send the details first and an engineer will say whether anything is possible.
How can I tell if mine is keyless?
If you press a start button and never put a key in a barrel, treat it as keyless and ask us before ordering.
Can I tow with runlock fitted?
Yes. Runlock only acts while parked with its agreed conditions met, so driving and towing carry on unchanged.
