L200 runlock for winches and inverters
An L200 doing farm work, utility jobs or recovery calls usually has something bolted on that eats power. A winch, an inverter for site tools, an air compressor, a split charge feeding a leisure battery. Do that with the diesel stopped and the truck goes flat. Do it with the pickup unlocked and running, and it sits open in a field.
What L200 owners hang off the battery
Fencing crews run power tools through an inverter, utility gangs charge handheld kit, recovery drivers use a winch at the roadside. Whoever is operating it stands at the tailgate or in a ditch, nowhere near the cab.
Draining one battery to charge another
A split charge setup only works while the alternator spins. Stop the engine and the second battery stops charging, while the main one gets drained by whatever is still switched on. That is how an L200 ends up needing a jump halfway through a job.
Runlock set for your pickup
CAN KONTROL RUNLOCK holds the L200's engine running after you pocket its key, and lets you lock the truck. We configure it in Chorley to your year and equipment. Coming from CANM8 and its Advanced Runlock range? Our CANM8 cross-reference shows where we sit.

Questions about the Mitsubishi L200
- Will the second battery keep charging while I work?
- A split charge behaves exactly as with the engine on, because the engine is on. Explain how yours is wired so the engineer can check.
- Sometimes I need to shift the truck a few feet mid job. What happens?
- Climbing in, pressing a pedal or freeing the handbrake outside its agreed limits returns the L200 to normal, and you drive it as usual.
- Can a farm buy just one?
- Yes. One pickup or a fleet of them, we programme every module around its own pickup.
