Battery charging in all chemistries is one of Intellitec’s core design competencies. The in-house charging range centres on switched-mode DC-DC battery-to-battery chargers that top up an auxiliary battery from the vehicle’s alternator or start battery while driving, applying a managed charge profile suited to the target chemistry.
The SMG-C DC-DC charger range mirrors the isolated DC-DC converter platform, with charge ratings including 200W / 8A on 12V-24V and up to 360W / 30A on 24V-12V, plus intermediate 15A and 16A variants. Because the charge profile is controlled electronically, the same hardware supports lithium, AGM and gel banks.
These chargers keep auxiliary and habitation batteries maintained in emergency, bus and coach, truck and fleet, amber-light, marine and specialist OEM builds, and integrate with Intellitec’s Battery Guard and power management systems. All units are UK manufactured.
