The ADC-1250 is a battery charger ideal for charging auxiliary batteries from the vehicle alternator on 12V Euro 6 vehicles with smart alternator systems. It produces up to 50A of charge current (temperature de-rated) and provides the correct voltage and current to maintain a battery in peak condition.
It operates as a 2-stage or 3-stage DC-DC charger with a DC power supply mode, and includes a built-in 12V to 12V buck-boost converter. The unit is configurable for Lead Acid, Gel, AGM and 12V LiFePO4 batteries, and can be programmed either via DIP switches or the free GUI software. A built-in battery rescue (pre-charging) function recovers deeply discharged batteries, while voltage and temperature compensation is available with the optional battery temperature sensor, including low-temperature cut-off and heater control for LiFePO4.
Protection includes reverse polarity by fuse, input over and under voltage, output over-voltage and short-circuit, and internal over-temperature. The unit withstands a 2G vibration test, weighs 1.4kg and measures 130 x 193 x 44 mm. A marine version (BBINT50A) supports 12V or 24V alternators. UK manufactured.
