Fiat Doblo cruise control for vans and fleets
A Doblo spends its day between jobs: a plumber's van in the morning, a parts run up the motorway after lunch, a long drive home. Many were bought in working spec minus any speed hold, so whoever drives notices the lack on every motorway stretch.
Built for loads, driven for miles
The Doblo is a car-derived van with a generous load bay, and that practicality puts it on trade fleets all over the country. Those fleets cover serious distances between sites. A driver holding the pedal all day arrives tired, and tired drivers are a fleet manager's worry.
When every van is a little different
Fleets rarely buy all their vans at once, so a yard of Doblos can mix years, engines and specifications. Ordering one generic part for the lot and hoping is how a workshop loses a week. Some Doblos are passenger versions rather than vans, so say which you have.
One configuration per van, made in Chorley
We programme every unit for the particular Doblo that will carry it, once an engineer has studied that van's age, engine and the switches its driver will reach for. The Doblo's CAN data supplies the speed signal, so nobody needs to touch the throttle. When a Doblo leaves the fleet, its module can move to the replacement after a free reprogramme.

Questions about the Fiat Doblo
- We have ten Doblos of mixed ages. Can you quote them together?
- Yes. Put the Doblos on a list with registration years and engine sizes, and we work through the batch, pairing every unit with its own van.
- Is it 12V or 24V for a Doblo?
- We build it for both; voltage gets decided at the configuration stage. For a Doblo, the engineer confirms the correct one while checking your details.
- Can drivers switch it off completely?
- They can. Each Doblo driver gets a cancel as well as set, hold and resume, so the person at the wheel always decides when the van holds its speed.
