Plug-in, diesel or petrol

Outlander owners drive very different cars under the same name. A PHEV owner may run quietly around town and then cover a long motorway trip on petrol. A diesel owner might tow a caravan every summer. Each of them still has long stretches where a fixed speed would help.

A hybrid needs a careful match

A plug-in hybrid juggles engine, motors and battery, all coordinated over the car's networks. A cruise retrofit that is not set up for that drivetrain risks behaving oddly as the car switches between modes. That is not a car to experiment on.

Configured for your Outlander

Outlander modules are configured at Scorpion Automotive, Chorley, and work from the SUV's own speed and drivetrain data. Tell us plainly whether it is the PHEV, diesel or petrol Outlander, and when it was registered, so the setup can be confirmed for that car. Still under warranty? The inductive connection, with no cutting, is worth raising.
