Pulling the horsebox to the show

Shogun owners tow regularly and they tow far. A summer of shows or a fortnight in a touring caravan means a great many miles behind a heavy load. A steady, controlled speed is easier on the driver and on whatever is in the trailer.

Many Shoguns stay with one owner for years and pick up extras: tow electrics, auxiliary lights, a winch. Adding cruise on top of that without looking at the existing wiring is how faults creep in. A rural owner miles from a specialist does not want an intermittent problem.

Shoguns get their own configuration, written in Chorley before each unit is sent. Each module reads the 4x4's CAN bus for speed, with no mechanical actuator. You and the engineer cover when it was built, its engine, which transmission it has, and the switches you want to use.
