Cruise control retrofit

Adding cruise control to a Toyota iQ

The iQ is one of the cleverest pieces of small car packaging there has been, and people who own one tend to adore it. Some use theirs for far longer journeys than you would guess, and on those trips a speed hold is sorely missed.

Short car, long journeys

Its tiny footprint makes it brilliant in town, but owners who love it use it for everything. On a motorway a car this short and light is busy, and keeping it at an even lick takes more concentration than a larger car needs.

A rare car needs a careful fit

With relatively few around, finding parts or advice for an iQ can be tricky. Owners guard them closely, and fair enough. Nothing added should create a fault on a car that would be hard to replace.

Speed hold for the iQ

Our module follows the iQ's own speed signals on its CAN network, leaving the throttle alone. An engineer goes through your car's details with you, then Chorley writes the programming to suit. Later configuration updates cost nothing.
