Cruise control retrofit

Cruise control for the Toyota Proace van

Proace vans do the daily grind for couriers, trades and conversion builders. A fleet manager running a mix of vans, some with cruise and some without, hears all about it from the drivers who drew the short straw.

A van with sister models

The Proace has been built alongside vans sold under other badges, and there is also the smaller Proace City. That is why our first question is which Proace you have, then how old and which engine. Assuming one van matches its sister is how mismatches happen.

Mixed fleets, unhappy drivers

When only some vans in a fleet have cruise, drivers notice. The ones without it face long days of pedal pressure and grumble about it. Bringing every van up to the same standard keeps the team happier and makes the fleet simpler to run.

One module per Proace

Each Proace gets its own CAN KONTROL CRUISE, programmed in Chorley to read that van's network, with no actuator fitted. Supply voltage is set during programming. When a Proace is replaced, the module can transfer to the newcomer after a free update.
