Intellitec’s switched-mode DC-DC converters convert a direct-current supply from one voltage level to another, allowing equipment rated for one voltage to run from a vehicle system at a different voltage. The range spans both non-isolated and galvanically isolated designs.
- Non-isolated converters (SMC / SMUC range): step-down and step-up units from 5A up to 35A, including 24V-12V at 5A, 8A, 12A, 20A and 35A, 12V-24V at 7A and 10A, and 6V-12V at 5A. Remote-controlled versions are available.
- Galvanically isolated converters (SMG range): rated at 100W, 200W and 360W, in combinations across 12V, 24V and 48V systems, for example 12V-24V (up to 15A at 360W), 24V-12V (up to 30A at 360W), 24V-48V and 48V-12V. Isolation is used where the input and output grounds must be kept separate.
DC-DC converters are used wherever mixed-voltage equipment has to be powered from a single vehicle supply, across emergency, bus and coach, truck and fleet, amber-light, marine and specialist OEM applications. All units are UK manufactured.
