The SMC08 is a switched-mode DC-DC converter that powers 12V equipment from a 24V supply, stepping the voltage down from 24V to 12V at up to 8A continuous (111W).

The high-efficiency switching technique allows a smaller, more compact housing, and the unit is short-circuit protected and current limited in operation. Running at around 90% efficiency, it combines high efficiency with great reliability. UK manufactured.
