The SMC05 is a switched-mode DC-DC converter that lets 12V equipment run from a 24V vehicle system, stepping the supply down from 24V to 12V at up to 5A continuous (69W).
Its high-efficiency switching technique makes it possible to use a smaller, more compact housing, while the unit stays short-circuit protected and current limited throughout. Running at around 90% efficiency, it combines high efficiency with great reliability for in-vehicle use. UK manufactured.
