Cruise control retrofit

Cruise control for the Citroen C1

The C1 was meant for town, and most owners use it that way until the day they do not. Then it is a hundred miles of motorway in a very small car with nothing to rest the right foot.

A town car on the motorway

City cars like the C1 get bought for insurance, parking and running costs, often as a first car. Young drivers then use them for university trips, new jobs and visits home. Small cars at motorway speed ask more of the driver, not less.

The same car under three badges

The C1 was developed alongside the Toyota Aygo and the Peugeot 107 and 108, and they came from the same plant. That leads some people to assume any part for one fits the others. It might, but a C1 owner should not have to find out by trial and error. If the job in front of you is the Toyota, see the Aygo retrofit page.

Set for the C1 itself

CAN KONTROL CRUISE is programmed for your C1 in Chorley and gets the Citroen's speed from the C1's network traffic. No actuator goes in. An engineer checks the C1's year and controls first, and if you move on to another car, reprogramming is free.

Questions about the Citroen C1

Is the C1 with the automated gearbox covered?
Flag it if yours is not a plain manual. The C1 gearbox type is checked before the module is written.
I am buying a C1 for my son. Can I order before we have the car?
Better to wait until you know the exact C1, since the setup depends on that vehicle.
Is fitting it complicated?
It is electrical only. Any capable auto electrician can fit the C1 module we send.
