Cruise control retrofit

Adding cruise control to a Citroen C2

The C2 has been out of production for years, and the survivors belong to owners who are fond of them. If yours is a keeper, there is no reason it cannot have a speed hold.

An older small car still doing the miles

The C2 was a sharp-looking three-door, and many have stayed in the same family for a long time, passed from parent to child. They still get taken on longer journeys. A small, older car is exactly where a long motorway run feels longest.

What to avoid on an older Citroen

Older cars can be the hardest to get right, because information is thin and part bins are full of things intended for other models. A rushed fit on a C2 is how electrical faults start that outlast the upgrade itself.

How it is done

An engineer checks your C2's year, engine and gearbox before any module is supplied. Chorley then programmes it for that C2, and it relies on the speed messages the little Citroen already exchanges between its modules. The accelerator gains no mechanical parts.

Questions about the Citroen C2

Is the C2 too old for this kind of system?
The C2 appears in our coverage, but your own C2 still gets checked. If a detail does not match, you hear about it before you spend money.
Can it be done alongside other work on the car?
Yes. The C2 can have it fitted at the same visit as a service or other electrical work, as no mechanical changes are needed.
What happens if I sell the C2?
Take the module with you. Rewriting it for another supported car is free.
