Higher seat, longer trips

It appeals to anyone after an easy step in and out and a clear view over traffic. Those same drivers still make motorway visits to family and long runs to the seaside, and a set speed makes those easier. The car is comfortable enough for the distance; the missing feature is the weak point.

Fiesta relations are not a shortcut

The EcoSport shares much of its hardware with the Fiesta family, but a shared parts bin does not guarantee the same configuration. An installer who assumes a Fiesta setup will do is gambling with the customer's car. It is quicker to check than to undo.

What Intellitec supplies

Intellitec supplies a CAN KONTROL CRUISE module set up for the EcoSport at our Lancashire plant. It reads the crossover's CAN bus to learn its road speed, and the driver gets set, resume and cancel along with the hold. If your EcoSport remains under warranty, it might be a fit for an inductive, cut-free link, which the engineer can explain.
