Cruise control retrofit

Adding cruise control to a Ford S-Max

The S-Max is the seven-seater for drivers who still want to enjoy driving, and it covers serious mileage for families and private hire firms. Without cruise, the long stretches of a journey are harder than they should be.

A sporty MPV doing sensible work

People chose the S-Max for the way it drives as much as for the seats. In practice it spends much of its life on motorways, full of passengers. A driver who cares about how the car feels will notice the absence of cruise early on.

Owners expect a factory feel

Because the S-Max is a polished car, its owners do not want a retrofit that looks or feels bolted on. Clumsy controls would spoil it. They want something that behaves as if Ford had fitted it on the line.

Set up for the S-Max

CAN KONTROL CRUISE works from the S-Max's CAN data and involves no hardware at the pedals. Configuration for your S-Max happens in Chorley, once we hold the S-Max's registration details and gearbox, and the driver controls are agreed. If the S-Max is in warranty, raise the inductive connection that avoids cutting any wires.
