Is the NT400 the same job?

It is the later name for the same truck and has its own entry with us. Check the badge on the cab and the registration year, and we look up that one.

Does a tipper body change anything?

Mention it. If the body builder ran extra wiring into the cab, our engineer needs that before choosing where the module connects.

Can a council depot do a batch of Cabstars?

Yes. Say how many Cabstars the depot has and roughly what age, and the set is checked in one go, so they can go through the workshop on a rota.

From the yard to the bypass

A Cabstar day often begins with a loaded run out to site along a dual carriageway, then the same trip home at dusk. Keeping a heavy Cabstar steady means the right foot is forever nudging up and back. Across a week, the driver absorbs a lot of that effort.

Small truck, workshop-sized headaches

Truck work is priced tight and the vehicle is usually wanted back the same day. A cruise part that refuses to engage once fitted means the Cabstar leaves without it, the customer is unhappy, and someone has to find another slot. Sorting the Cabstar's configuration out before the module turns up is the only sensible order of work.

What arrives for a Cabstar

You receive a CAN KONTROL CRUISE unit set for that Cabstar and the voltage it runs, taking its speed reading over CAN instead of from a cable at the pedal. Switch positions and the connection point are settled with our engineer first. The NT400 continues the same line of truck, if your yard has both.
