Nissan e-NV200 cruise control retrofit
An electric van is quiet and smooth right up until its driver is stuck holding fifty on the ring road with a foot that keeps drifting. Some e-NV200s went into service without cruise, on rounds where drivers already keep one eye on the battery gauge.
Who runs these vans
Local authorities, utility firms and delivery operators took on the e-NV200 for urban rounds, and many of those rounds include a stretch of fast road between depot and patch. That stretch is where cruise pays its way, keeping the van at the limit without the driver glancing down every few seconds.
No engine, but still a busy network
With no combustion engine, the e-NV200 has no throttle cable at all, so any retrofit must work purely from what the van shares on its network. A part designed around a diesel can misread an electric drivetrain or simply never engage. An electric van parked up after a wasted fit is a round someone else has to cover.
Built around the electric van
We set CAN KONTROL CRUISE up for the e-NV200 itself, listening to the electric van's own speed and drivetrain messages. Say whether yours is the panel van or the passenger version, and its registration year, and the switches the driver will use are agreed at the same time. If the fleet later swaps vans, the module can be moved to the next one and reprogrammed at no charge.

Questions about the Nissan e-NV200
- Do you treat the e-NV200 differently from the diesel NV200?
- Yes. They have separate entries and separate configurations, so say which one you run and do not assume they share a setting.
- Can it go on e-NV200s still under the maker's warranty?
- An inductive connector clips on without cutting into the van's loom. Whether it suits your e-NV200 is something our engineer will say, and the dealer can give their own view on warranty.
- We have twenty vans. How do we start?
- Send the van count, rough registration dates and the name of whoever does your fitting. One configuration check, then the whole fleet is quoted together.
