Cruise control retrofit

Nissan NV200 van: adding cruise control

The NV200 is a small van with a big load bay, and it tends to do far more motorway than its size suggests. Tradespeople who cover a whole region in one know the ache of a long run when the van cannot keep its own pace.

Small van, regional rounds

Gas fitters, sparkies and couriers use the NV200 because it slips into tight streets and still swallows a lot of kit. Their patch, though, often spans several towns joined by fast roads. That stretch between jobs is where cruise is missed most.

Vans change hands, so should the part

Small fleets refresh their vans every few years, and a unit bought for one NV200 should not go to auction with it. A unit that cannot be reprogrammed is money spent once and then lost. Multiply that across a fleet and the cheap option stops looking cheap.

What goes into an NV200

Into the NV200 goes CAN KONTROL CRUISE, set up at Chorley to match your vans' year and engine and reading their speed over the network. No actuator goes near the pedal. Your own workshop fits it, our engineer agrees switch placement with them beforehand, and when a van is replaced the unit is moved across and reprogrammed for the newcomer at no cost.
