Cruise control retrofit

Peugeot 307: fitting cruise control later

A 307 still on the road today has usually had one or two careful owners and plenty of motorway miles. Anyone who intends to keep it going wants cruise for the long runs, without starting a project.

Old enough to be cheap, good enough to keep

The 307 came as a hatchback, an SW estate and a CC. SW owners in particular use them as roomy family cars on holiday. They are no longer valuable, which is exactly why people keep them rather than replace them.

Twenty years of other hands

A car this age may have had wiring repairs, an alarm added or a radio changed. A cheap cruise module bought on spec might never find the signal it expects. Fitters then end up chasing faults that have nothing to do with the job they were paid for.

Confirm first, then configure

Send the 307's details (age, engine, body style) and an engineer checks whether this car offers what CAN KONTROL CRUISE reads. If so, our Chorley team programs the unit to suit, and the throttle is not touched. Weighing up different methods? Our step-by-step on adding cruise control explains the approaches.
