Cruise control retrofit

Cruise control retrofit for the Peugeot 407

The 407 was built for long, comfortable motorway miles, and many spent their first years with company drivers. The ones still running are cheap to buy and pleasant to drive, and an owner who finds theirs has no cruise is understandably puzzled.

A big Peugeot for big mileages

The saloon, SW and elegant coupe all shared that long-legged character. Private owners now pick them up for the comfort and keep them going on regular long trips. A car this suited to distance makes the missing speed hold stand out.

Where an old executive car can catch you out

A 407 carries a fair amount of electronics for its age, and over the years some of it may have been repaired or replaced. A generic cruise part that assumes a standard car can meet something unexpected and simply not work. That leaves the owner paying twice: for the part, and for the time spent finding out.

Our way of handling a 407

Our engineer wants the 407's age, engine and body, then checks the car carries the signals CAN KONTROL CRUISE reads. After that, this Peugeot's settings are loaded and the module ships from our Lancashire factory; speed comes off CAN and no device goes near the pedal. Free configuration updates mean it can move on to your next car.
