Cruise control retrofit

Retrofit cruise control on a Peugeot Expert van

The Expert is a mid-sized van that does long days for builders, electricians and delivery firms. If yours was specified without cruise, the hour on the motorway at either end of the day is the part drivers complain about.

Shared with the Dispatch and others

The Expert is built alongside the Citroen Dispatch, and later versions share a platform with the Toyota Proace and Vauxhall Vivaro as well. That is good for parts supply but tempts people to treat every badge as identical. The details still vary from one model year and engine to the next.

Leased vans have to go back clean

Plenty of newer Experts are on lease or still under warranty, and the van is inspected when it is returned. A cruise kit spliced into the loom leaves cut wires for someone to find. That can make for an awkward conversation when the contract ends.

Our Expert setup

CAN KONTROL CRUISE is programmed for the Expert you describe and reads its speed messages on CAN, with nothing at the pedal. On a van that suits it, an inductive pickup reads the network without a single cut wire, and our engineer will say whether yours qualifies. Related badges in the same fleet are checked separately.

Questions about the Peugeot Expert

Can the module come out at lease end?
Take it out before the van goes back. It can then be reprogrammed for the replacement, and that update costs nothing.
Is the Traveller people carrier the same as the Expert?
It is related, but the Traveller gets a page and configuration of its own, so tell us whether you run Experts, Travellers or both.
What should a fleet manager send?
How many vans, how old, which engines, and who maintains them. The engineer replies with the configuration for each type.
