Key features

  • Guarantees starting power on buses and coaches
  • Manual battery isolator with fully waterproof ECU
  • Delphi Packard waterproof connectors
  • Oil-switch / engine-run protection
  • Switches positively or negatively biased isolators
  • Audible warning, with optional digital speech module (2-minute warning before auto-isolation)
  • 3000 PSV variant adds fully programmable thresholds, time delays and safety isolation inhibit during vehicle movement

The PSV Battery Guard (K09) constantly monitors the available battery voltage when the engine is not running. If the battery voltage drops below 24.1V a voltage-sensitive timer in the ECU is triggered, giving an audible warning (or optional speech warning) two minutes before the guard automatically isolates the battery to preserve starting power.

It uses a fully waterproof ECU with Delphi Packard waterproof connectors, includes oil-switch / engine-run protection, and can switch either positively or negatively biased isolators. It is designed for easy installation and suits both OEM fitment and retrofit on buses and coaches.

The Battery Guard 3000 PSV (K327) builds on this with a fully programmable low-voltage protection device offering both automatic and manual battery isolation. It adds programmable isolation thresholds and time delays, programmable automatic or manual reconnect, a safety isolation inhibit that prevents isolation during vehicle movement, and support for optional speech warning modules. The 3000 PSV carries type approval 72/245/EEC (2006/28/EC), Approval No. E11 10R-024661. UK manufactured.
