Fitting auxiliary equipment usually means finding a feed that is live with the ignition, or only when the engine is running. On a CAN bus vehicle those states are on the bus rather than on an easy wire to tap. A CAN interface reads them and gives you a switched output to work from.
A switched feed from the bus
The interface reads ignition and engine-running status from the vehicle bus and provides a switched feed configured to the job. Accessories can come on with the ignition, or only once the engine is running, without splicing into vehicle circuits. The CAN KONTROL POWER is aimed at switched power outputs of this kind, and where you want speed and an ignition-based output together the CAN KONTROL SPEED IGN reads both off the bus.
Stop-start and auxiliaries
Stop-start can interrupt equipment that needs to stay powered. Behaviour can be configured so fitted auxiliaries are handled as intended, and the CAN KONTROL STOPSTART is built for this. This is safety-sensitive work. The driver override is retained in any configuration, and we frame and confirm exactly what is possible on a given vehicle on enquiry rather than promising a blanket result.
All are built on the i2CAN platform, designed and manufactured in the UK by Intellitec, part of Scorpion Group. One configurable platform covers the range.
What to tell us
Tell us the make, model and year, and what the feed is powering or what stop-start behaviour you need. We confirm what the vehicle allows and configure the outputs.
